Project 3: Center for diagnostics and management of patients with epidermolysis bullosa

This project embodies an important clinical centre for diagnostics and management of EB, which has following functions:

  1. recruitment of new patients with EB into the network
  2. collaboration with patient organization DEBRA Germany
  3. documentation of patient history and clinical data for the network data base
  4. obtaining biopsies and blood samples for diagnostic analysis
  5. entry of the data into the data base
  6. production of guidelines for medical professionals and patients on standardized diagnostics, classification and interdisciplinary therapy of EB.
